On the 3rd of November, 1993, a girl named Miley was born. Once her mum got out of the
hospital she planted a tree in tradition. Five years later, it’s still there. Miley plays on it every
day because she likes to hear the birds chirping away at her.
“Happy 10th birthday Miley” everyone said. It’s Miley’s 10th birthday and she nearly got what she wanted. The next day at school a boy came up to her, his name was Lucas Greg, he said hi. That day after school Miley went and sat under her tree and started thinking of Lucas Greg for one whole hour in tell Miley’s little sister Noah came and started to annoye her.
“Stop get away from me, this is my tree MUUMMM” Miley yelled at her little sister.
One sunny morning as Miley opens her curtains and immediately Miley spots a pink blooming flower with a speak of white in the middle. Miley springs outside to her tree and starts jumping “It’s to high it’s to high” Miley says.
“Miley get ready for school” Miley’s mum says “Yea yea, in a minute” Miley yells to her mum with attitude. As Miley walks out to the school bus Miley’s friends (Rose, Laura and Harriet) came in there car, Miley hops into the car. 3:30pm came and gone. It was 8:00pm when Miley got home and she was drunk of her head.
18 years old came, 19 years old came, 20 years old came and on that day Miley moved out of the house and in with Lucas Greig. On Miley’s 21st birthday Lucas proposed, of course Miley said yes. The wedding was big, huge, massive lucky it was a crystal blue sky with white frilly blanket clouds. Miley’s dress was gorgeous white with dashing sparkles on the dress. On the honeymoon Miley got pregnant with a gorgeous baby girl with lashing brown hair her name was Elizabeth Greg. Once Elizabeth was one year old Miley and Lucas went back to Miley’s old house to her tree and planted one for Elizabeth.

My latest achievement at Stratford High School is a sport achievement. My sport achievement was getting into the year 9 A team for netball and with my good friends Alesha Saywell and Rhiannon Rhodes getting into the team with me. :) I chose this sport achievement because it has shown me that if you want something in life you got to reach for it, no mater what life throughs at you. Now my long term goal is to get into one of the Taranaki netball teams, maybe even a bigger netball team. I HOPE…

My story:
Sim/Diff
Laura and Alesha
My best friends are to different young ladies but if you dig deep enough you’ll get something about them that are the same. My things about them are not very good but they’re something right, so here goes.
First, two young beautiful girls were born in the year 1997 but on different days and mouths and there names are Alesha and Laura. But now in the year 2010 they are not young girls anymore they are young teenagers, they are both 13 now and on there way to high school next year. Second, Laura and Alesha’s addresses are both different, Laura 30 King Edward street Eltham, Alesha 33 Collingwood street Eltham and at the end of both Laura’s and Alesha’s addresses it says Eltham so that means they both live in Eltham. Third, these two girls have something special about them. They are both very smart at there school work but you see they both go to a school called Matapu school. Fourth, Laura and Alesha both like sports such as netball they play in the same netball team and they both love it so much.
Laura and Alesha have lots of things about them that are different like there favourite food laura likes bacon and Alesha likes chocolate. Favourite colour, Laura: pink and black and Alesha: red and pink. Favourite T.V. show Laura: The hills and Alesha: Two and a half men. Hair colour Laura: brunette and Alesha: brown. Birthday mouth Laura: June and Alesha: May. Star sign Laura: gemini and Alesha: taurus.

My story:
I am writing in response to your letter regarding about how unhygienic we are for our school barbecues. I believe we are very hygienic for the following reasons.
Reason 1) Incorrect food handling.
For the barbecue there are normally four people and one councillor and each person has a job such as…
-cut the onions.
-get barbecue.
-get tables.
-cook sausages.
-cook onions.
-set up tables.
Reason 2) Unhygienic surfaces (preparing)
Every time we cut the onions we get the clean chopping board from the stuff room and a clean knife. We always wear gloves when we put the sausages on the barbecue. We always clean the tables with a cloth and a bucket of soapy water.
Reason 3) Unhygienic surfaces (cooking)
After every barbecue we get a bucket of hot soapy water and a clean sponge to clean it. All dishes are washed after every barbecue same time as the barbecue is been washed so they are cleaned and ready for next time.
Those are same of the reasons why Matapu school is not a unhygienic school. Thankyou.

1) How do we use technology in the classroom?
We use technology in class for our:
-blog work
-e-mail
-publishing work
-maths games
When ever Mr C has a maths or reading group down on the mat he uses the smart borad.
2) How does it help your learning?
Technology helps us in class by our spelling mistakes and helps us learn to type faster. Technology get us involve with technology which makes it fun to learn for us to.

My Story=
The Pools
Boom goes my head hitting the sides. “Wow wow” I say as my body swirls out of control.”Ok, my legs got to came out first” I said as I spin wildly out of control coming to the end.
“I’m coming” Laura yells as it echoes from a far distance. I raced round a corner and a splash of sour chlorine raced straight into my mouth. My brain frooze like ice, I could hardly breathe. As it comes to a end, Laura’s back bangs into mine and all I hear is a crunch. We raced out of the hot toasty water as Laura says “lets go down the hydroslide again”.

This week my work of the week is my writing. I chose this because on Thursday last week Mr Whalley came in a talked about the barriers of learning and the one thing the class wanted to change is our writing. The class wanted to do different things for writing so Mr Whalley told us to do what every we want for writing, so I did two poems a love poem and a friendship poem. The next day I showed my poems to Mr C my teacher and he said they were the best pieces of writing I had done this year and he was surprised that I was so on task. Now for poems you don’t always have to make the words rhyme it’s just in the way you say them, so here’s my poems:
Love Poem
The eyes of my lover
are like no other.
Those big brown eyes
are like monarch butterflies.
When I put a picture up with a pin
the one true thing going throw my mind is him.
When we go and grab some lime
our hands touch for the first time.
I can’t get him out of my mind.
Friendship Poem
Your always there beside me
even throw the ups and downs.
You never say “I told you so”
even when I get my words wrong.
Your never out of second chances
when we have our fights.
So I would like to say…
…Thank you for being there for me.
